The Patricia A. Hannaford Regional Technical School District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator to oversee the cooperative education program, and serve as an administrator on the leadership team. The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree and be certified to teach in Vermont or be eligible for certification and the WBL endorsement. This role requires a deep understanding of career and technical education standards, labor laws, and industry practices. The Work-Based Learning Coordinator will be responsible for managing industry site visits, developing training plans, supervising students, facilitating college curriculum for work-based learning credits, ensuring safety practices, and fostering partnerships with local businesses and industries.Responsibilities:- Manage the cooperative education program, including coordinating industry site visits, developing training plans, and supervising students in work-based learning experiences.- Develop and facilitate coursework that aligns the program with college credit requirements.- Ensure compliance with child labor laws and safety practices in all work-based learning placements.- Cultivate and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry partners to provide meaningful work experiences for students.- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and industry partners to align work-based learning opportunities with career and technical education standards and grade expectations.- Provide guidance and support to students in navigating the world of work, including career exploration, job search skills, and workplace etiquette.- Develop and implement program evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness of work-based learning experiences and make continuous improvements.- Stay informed about labor market trends, industry needs, and state and federal regulations related to career and technical education and labor and industry.- Fulfill administrative duties as part of the district’s leadership team, including serving as building manager on duty, attending leadership meetings, and taking on additional managerial tasks as required.
